Roy Leon Hutchens, 79, a resident of Thomasville passed away Sunday July 5, 2015 at 12:40 PM in Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville NC. Mr. Hutchens was born May 14, 1936 in Thomasville to the late Spencer Floyd and Clara Mae Jones Hutchens. Roy was a member of the Church of Tomorrow and loved playing golf. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Ruby Hutchens, in 2013; two brothers, Worth Hutchens and James “Jim” Hutchens; and one sister, Dorothy Johnson. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday July 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with the pastor Huey Turner Officiating. Entombment at Holly Hill Memorial Park will follow the service.
