OBITUARY FOR EDMUND F. GEYER, SR.
"Edmund F. Geyer Buried in Pearsall
Edmund F. Geyer sr. (sic) passed away at his home in the Goldfinch community Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 2:20 a.m. at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 2 days.
Mr. Geyer was the son of August Geyer and Louisa Heuchling and was born in Castroville on Nov. 22, 1878. He married Mary Elizabeth Stein of Castroville on Jan. 7, 1903. They lived at Idlewild in Bexar County where the first five children were born, then in 1912 they moved to their farm at Goldfinch where the other five children were born. Mrs. Geyer preceded her husband in death on Aug. 19, 1944.
On March 8, 1952 Mr. Geyer married Mrs. Velma Brehm, who has been a faithful and loving wife to the end.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Velma Brehm Geyer; daughters, Mrs. Jake Mann, Mrs. Leo Mann, Mrs. Stanley Brauchle, Charlotte, Mrs. George Peterson, Pearsall, Mrs. Otto Willms, Bigfoot, Mrs. Otto Mann, Mrs. Wesley Stacy, Goldfinch; sons, Frank A. Geyer, Charlotte, Edmund F. Geyer jr. (sic), Moore, and John L. Geyer, Everton, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Marquis, Cuero; 33 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; five step-children, Mrs. H. L. Teel, Mrs. C. R. Allen, Mrs. C. J. Allen, Dallas, and Robert and Eugene Brehm, San Antonio; 13 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the deceased were George Arnold, Edward Mann, Carroll Nations, Ancel Burgess, Earl Howard and Lester Arnold.
Salmon Funeral Home had charge of arrangements and services were from the Catholic Church. Burial was in the Pearsall Cemetery."
