Eloise Irvin Borah, 96, passed away in her Okaloosa Island home on July 3, 2015. She was born in Big Run, Pennsylvania, the fifth of ten children born to Benjamin and Laura Irvin. She graduated first in her class from Williamsport High School. She attended both Bethany College in West Virginia and Hood College in Maryland. In 1938 she married her childhood sweetheart William Borah. She followed him to medical school at Ohio State University. For the next forty years she was an energetic and faithful Air Force wife making a home for her family all over the world. They traveled from one assignment to the next living in Pennsylvania, Michigan, California, Colorado, Maryland, Washington D.C., Texas, Florida, Maine and Massachusetts, as well as China, Japan, Italy and France, before settling in Ft. Walton Beach in 1968. Their home quickly became the headquarters for family fun and celebrations such as 4th of July and Billy Bowlegs.

She is preceded in death by her husband Colonel William Borah and her son-in-law Tony David; her parents and seven of her siblings. She is survived by her sister Martha Cole and her husband Jerry and her brother Edward; four children, Diane Thatcher(Rod), Karen David, William Borah (Patricia) and James Borah (Beverly); ten grandchildren, Carrie, Sandy, Mark, Debbie, Mike, John, Jim, Dave, Paul and Billy and fourteen great grandchildren.
She will be buried with her husband in Barrancas National Cemetery, Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Chaplain Frank Dole will be officiating. A small celebration of her life will be hosted in her home.

The family would like to express appreciation to Dr. Blankenship and his office staff for always being available. We would also like to thank Diana, Amber and Diane for their loving and gentle care given to our mother in her last days.
