Mr. Hysell was born May 12, 1940 in Buchanan, IA to William L. (Bill) and Wauenta D. Hines Hysell. He served as a firefighter for 26 years at Pascagoula Fire Department. His main hobby was fishing, which he did as often as he could. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Hysell was the best granddad in the entire world to all of his grandchildren.
Mr. Hysell was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Reta F. Hysell of Moss Point; his three children, Julie A. Blake and her husband Jay of Pascagoula, Rolland E. "Gene" Hysell, Jr. and his wife Mary of Robertsdale, AL, and Jennifer R. Pry and her husband Kevin of Pascagoula; three grandchildren, Meagan Pry, Abby Pry, and Jerime Blake and his wife Dorian; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marlene Hysell Lopez and her husband Bob of Destin, FL; and many other family members and close friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, July, 6, 2015 from 11am to 12 noon at Eastlawn United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be at 12 noon at Eastlawn United Methodist Church.
