Born in Naples, Italy, she met and married Camille Prejean of Crowley and became one of hundreds of 1947 war brides migrating to the United States of America. She was loved by many for her playful and happy personality. Louisiana became her adopted home where she and her husband raised three daughters. For 25 years she was a beautician in Crowley and later in Lafayette. She became widowed in 1960 but remained here and eventually became the grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of eleven.
Mrs. Prejean is survived by her three daughters, Peggy Prejean Roy and her husband, Cleve, of the Woodlands, TX; Wanda Prejean Naquin and her husband, Ron, of Baton Rouge; and Susette Prejean Brunson and her husband, Jeffery, of Crowley; two sisters, Rosa Testa Hahn and Teresa Testa Amitrano; a brother, Joseph Testa; eight grandchildren, Chad Roy, Jennifer Roy Weinstein, Matthew Roy, Ronda Naquin Smith, Amy Naquin Desormeaux, Brian Naquin, Elise Brunson and Daniel Brunson; eleven great-grandchildren, Marshall, Abigail, Parker, Easton, Dominic, Katelyn, Emma, Brooke, Tyler, Owen, and Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Camille Prejean; her parents, Rafaelle Testa and Anna Lama Testa; four sisters, Flora, Elena, Maria, and Eda; and one brother, Mario.
