FOREST CITY - Frank Lee Hill, 89, of US Highway 221 South, Forest City, died on Friday, July 03, 2015 at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County.

A native of Rutherford County, he was born on July 09, 1925, a son of the late George W. and Bessie Tate Hill. He retired from Cone Mills Corporation - Cliffside Plant as an Inspector and was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in World War II. Frank was also a member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church, loved to work in his garden, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sons, Frankie Hill, Johnny Hill and James Hill; two brothers, Fred Hill and Bub Hill. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Esther Arledge Hill; one daughter, Ann Skipper and husband Shannon of Forest City; one brother, Charlie Hill and wife Lola of Henrietta; four grandchildren, Jonathan Hill, Jessica Brown, Shane Skipper and Tyler Skipper; one great grandchild, Raylan Brown.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, July 06, 2015 at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Carnell officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Sunday, July 05, 2015 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
