Mary Jo Lindsey, 89, of St. Joseph, died at 3:50 p.m. Sunday (June 28, 2015) at Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.
Jo was born on Sept. 8, 1925 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, the daughter of Elvis and Mary Parker Funderburk. She married Claude Lindsey on June 2, 1951. He preceded her in death in 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn (Nate) Purcell, Claudetta (Robby) Hartman and Marvin Lindsey; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Jo was a member of the St. Joseph United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary in St. Joseph, St. Joseph Senior Citizens and Order of Eastern Star.
