EDWARDS, Edna Alexandra (Franklin) - Age 94, of Burton, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 8, 2001. Mrs. Edwards was born February 6, 1907 in Mississippi. She had been a Flint area resident for many years. Mrs. Edwards had been married for 43 years to Ellis Edwin Edwards; he preceded her in death in 1969. She enjoyed making quilts and sharing them with her family. She had been the loving mother of 10 children, 9 of whom survive, Birdie Gregory of Mt. Morris, Clara Vaughn of Flint, Mary and husband Harold Bates of Grand Blanc, Cathy Foutch of Flint, Thelma Gamino of Burton, Ada Hoffmaster of Chesterton, IN, Bannie and wife Martha Edwards of Grand Blanc, David and wife Toshi Edwards of Vacaville, CA, James Allen and wife Margie Edwards of Nixa, MO; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and a special angel granddaughter, Terri Edwards of Grand Blanc who cared for her and carried her to the pearly gates. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: son, Ellis Adelbert Edwards in May 1995. Edna now knows the glory of heaven. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2001 at the Reigle Funeral Home Colonial Chapel, Pastor Ted Wille will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-9 p.m. tonight, and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
