ELSIE L. ELLIS, 79, of Troy RD 3 died Monday March 28, 1988 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. Born Aug. 26, 1908 in Burlington Township she was a daughter of Wells and Mary C. Pruyne Hollenback. Her main interest in life encompassed her home and family.
She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Forest of Ulster RD 2 and Mrs. Edith Powell of Johnstown, Pa.: a son, Eldrid Ellis of Salem, Kan.; two grandsons; Scott Powell of Johnstown and Calvin Forest, Ulster RD 2; a granddaughter, Mrs. Peder (Janice) Nielson of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada: four great-grandchildren: two brothers: Russell Hollenback, Towanda RD 3 and Raymond (Pete) Hollenback, Towanda RD 1: several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a sister, Lulu Pond and by her companion, Frank Heeman.
The funeral and committal service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda with the Rev. Stephen K. Klotz pastor of the Ulster Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Mountain Lake Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday afternoon at the funeral home. The family will provide their own flowers and requests that memorials be directed to the Activities Department at the Bradford County Manor, RD 3, Troy, Pa. –Towanda Daily Review
