On Monday, Aug. 1, 1892, at his home, 12 miles northwest of Webster City, brother Abraham Whistler peacefully fell asleep in Christ, aged 82 years. He has been a faithful member of the U. B. church since 1800. He leaves a sorrowing wife and 14 children to mourn their loss. He was a loving husband, a kind father, and was loved and respected by all wbo knew him. Funeral services were conducted by the writer, and his body was laid to rest in the Webster City cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
