Lee Carlton Bevan was born April 5th, 1935 in Lost Springs, Kansas. Lee was received into the arms of angels June 21, 2015 at his home in Leon, Kansas, with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. In Lee’s 80 years, 2 months and 16 days he touched and influenced many people of all different ages and never met a stranger.
Visitation with family present will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. Celebration of Lee’s life will be held with a graveside service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, in the Leon Cemetery.
He served his country in the army in the late 1950’s and drove semis for various companies. He owned and operated Bevan Tire in Leon, Kansas and also worked for Bluestem USD 205 being a school bus driver and working in the food service for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Spencer and Eunice Bevan and son, Loren Bevan.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials for Amedisys Hospice; Leon Methodist Church or Leon Senior Center to be made in Lee’s Honor. Condolences for the family can be sent to www.carlsoncolonialchapel.com.
