Eula was born February 6, 1913, in Cedar, Iowa, the daughter of William and Maude Goltry. She married Don Ragon on September 22, 1934. They moved to Dallas Center in 1944. Don passed away November 14, 1963. Eula worked as a school cook, employee of Allied Mutual and store owner with her husband, Don, at The Towne Shoppe in Dallas Center. She was a member of the United Methodist Church for 66 years. She also belonged to the Dallas Center Federated Women's Club.
Eula was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter, Judy Kramer, and her sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Francis Friesz. She is survived by her daughter Nancy York (Gus) of Dallas Center and son-in-law Richard Kramer of Texas. She is survived by her grandchildren, Kimberly (York) Smith and her sons Trenton and Evan; Brian York, Debra Walker, Pamela (Snyder) Mason (Charles) and their children, Charles and Sherry; and four step-grandchildren.
