Ruth Emma was born in Marlin, Texas, to the late Rudolph and Ida (Engelke) Lange. She was a very loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook and her lemon pies were wonderful. Ruth was a member of First Evangelical Church, and enjoyed all activities at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Mandel; son-in-law, Royce Reames; sisters: Edna Davenport, Alice Kuehn, and Bernice Schroeder; and brother, Bill Lange.
Survivors include her daughter, Edith Reames, of Houston; son, Wayne Mandel and wife, Kris Stabler, of St. Louis, MO; grandson, Jason Reames and wife, Susan, of Cypress, TX; great-grandson, Mason Reames; great-granddaughter, Makenzie Reames; sisters, Esther Manthei, Dorothy Reeves, and Eileen Vanouse; and numerous nieces and nephews.
