Martha was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Martha was preceded in death by her father, Ben Gerhardt and is survived by her mother, Pauline Gerhardt, husband, Patrick Barela, children, Patrick Jr., Jacob and Kiana, daughter-in-law, Laura Barela and grandchildren, Azul and Jayden. Martha was one of seven children and will be forever loved by her brothers, Michael Gerhardt, Louie Gerhardt and Bobby Gerhardt and sisters, Annabelle Gerhardt, Rita Pino and Marlene Killinger. Martha graciously took in additional family along the way with the addition of several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Martha will be forever cherished by Carol and Michael Gerhardt Jr., Justin, Pauline, Hailey and Taylor Ray, Melinda, John, Joseph and Joshua Gerhardt, James Pino, Ben, Garrett, and Jameson Muriel, Brian, Seth and Sydney Killinger and Carolyn and Jaylin Gerhardt. In addition to her family, Martha had many endearing friendships that she valued just as much.
Although passing at such a young age, Martha lived a very full life, without regret. And the life that she lived is what should be celebrated in remembrance of her.
Services for Martha will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Albuquerque, NM, beginning with a Viewing at 8:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. with the burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Albuquerque, NM.
