Age 87, a daughter of the late Harry and Theresa Petroff Evanoff. Florence originally worked at G.E. and Heyle's Drugstore, and went on to work at Eckerd's Warehouse. Florence loved tending to her flower beds. She also enjoyed crafts, going out to eat with friends and cooking for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Weed Sr.; and five siblings, Harry Evanoff, Gloria Chatman, Kay Pazdziesz, Marilyn Voronovas and Albert Evanoff.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ann Ferra of Erie; one son, James Smith and his wife Mija of North Huntingdon, PA; three grandchildren, all of Erie; four great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Anita DeFonzo of Erie, Trina Barry of Florida and Jack Evanoff of Florida. Florence is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Interment in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
