Ken was active in sports and community, serving as president of the Lake Goodwin Community Club, commissioner of Junior Sports in Lakewood, president and coach of Stilly Valley Little League, and player/manager in fastpitch softball for 25 years.
In June of 1953, Ken married Betty Johnson, his loving wife of 54 years. They spent most of their married life living at Lake Goodwin, raising their three children. After retirement Ken was never without projects. If he wasn't working around his own house, he was helping his children at theirs. He worked every spring and summer on his ever changing vegetable garden and enjoyed taking vacations on the island of Kauai.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Betty; their three children, daughters, Sandra (Lance Imboden) and Donna (Randie Fenton); and son, Jay. He dearly loved his five grandchildren, David, Jamie, Laura, Matthew, and Michael. They will greatly miss their grandpa.
In addition to his immediate family, Ken leaves behind his sister, Doris Scott; and brother, Dale Snyder; as well as many, many good friends. He was able to spend time with both family and friends during the recent holiday season, creating even more special memories for all.
At Ken's request, there will be no services. The family will be gathering in Kauai, in July for a special remembrance reunion.
Donations in his memory may be given to your favorite charity.
