W.K. "Bill" Pflug, age 83, of Midway, Ark. passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 in Mountain Home, Ark. He was born Aug. 1, 1929 in Melrose Park, Ill. to Elmer F. and Ruth R. (Brust) Pflug.
Mr. Pflug married Margaret Quick on Feb. 14, 1981 in Mountain Home, Ark. He was a retired insurance agent for Aetna Insurance Company and a retired clerk with the U.S. Postal Service. He was active in his Unity faith community and a founding board member and volunteer of Kindness, Inc. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Pflug is survived by his wife, Margaret Pflug; and three daughters, Judith Light, Sharon Hensley and husband Johnnie, and Shirley Dianne Carey all of Mountain Home; a brother, Elmer F. Pflug, Jr. of Johnsburg, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Rosella; a sister, Gloria Schrilla; and a granddaughter, Sherry.
Memorial services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Kindness, Inc. Arrangements are by Twin Lakes Cremation Society and Funeral Home.
