He married a Greene county girl, Mary Garrison (1796-after 1850) and moved with his brother, Benjamin, to Wetzel, West Virginia, prior to their parents' deaths.

Isaac Taylor died in 1845. Mary is shown in the 1850 Wetzel Census, with 3 children ages 10-20 living with her, as well as a young granddaughter, Charlotte Cross, daughter of Margaret Ann.
