Edith B. Kuhn, 89, of Carlisle, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 in Chapel Pointe at Carlisle. She was born on September 18, 1925 in Cumberland County and was a daughter of the late Ira E. and Cleo M. (Darr) Barrick.
Edith was a loving homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a resident at Chapel Pointe for the past seven years. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Chapel Pointe for their love and care they gave to “Edie”. You made her feel loved and brightened her days.
She is survived by her husband, Albert C. “Whitey” Kuhn, one daughter, Doris K. (husband Joe) Lerew of York Springs, one sister, Ada (husband David) Boldosser of Carlisle, three grandchildren; Kenneth Lee Kuhn, Jr. of Carlisle and Jessica J. and Paul B. Lerew, both of York Springs and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Kenneth Lee Kuhn, who died Sept. 4, 1982, one brother, Clair Barrick and three sisters; Freda Zeigler, Hazel Myers and Gladys Gordon.
A viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015 followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. in the Henry Chapel at Chapel Pointe, 770 S. Hanover St, Carlisle, with Rev. Walt Frankenberry officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
