Also known as Andrew's Sharpshooters, operating with the 15th Massachusetts Infantry.

The 1st Mass sharpshooters were commanded by Capt William Plumer, who was a Harvard graduate and a lawyer from Lexington. He has been wounded in June, and rode to Gettysburg in an ambulance.
