Rev. Father Augustine Bazelmans, O. Praem, was a Catholic priest of the Premonstratensian (Norbertine) Order, and served as the 62nd Abbot of Berne Abbey in Heeswijk, Netherlands, for 23 years, from 1885 until his death in 1908, age 71. During his term as abbot, in 1898, St. Norbert's Abbey in De Pere, Wisconsin, was established as a daughter house of Berne Abbey.
