RAYMOND LAMAR (TED) BAKER, 72, of Rt 1, Fairplay, died at Washington County Hospital on Friday morning.

Born at Downsville, he was a son of George R and Pearl Long Baker.

He was a member of Manor Church of the Brethren; a charter member of Fairplay Fire Co, serving as treasurer for over 20 years; District 12 Ruritan Club; and Logan Tribe No 155, I.O.R.M. of Boonsboro.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian David Baker; daughters, Mrs. Leon Young and Mrs. Lorraine Gerhold, both of Middletown; son, Ronald L Baker, at home; sisters, Mrs. Verda Rohrer, Miss Thelma Baker, and Mrs. Urla Jamison, all of Downsville; Mrs. Evelyn Culler, Sharpsburg; and Mrs. Anita Mentzer, Sparks, Md; brothers, Guy L Baker and Joshua Baker, both of Johnstown, Pa; half-brothers, David Baker, Boonsboro; and G William Baker, Cumberland; one granddaughter, 3 great-grandsons and 4 great-great-grandsons.

Services Sunday at 2 pm at Manor Church of the Brethren with the Rev David Webster officiating; burial in Manor Cemetery
