Mary Jane King was a daughter of Adrial M. King and Jane Young Graves King. She had ten siblings.

Mary Jane King married George Washington Williams on July 4, 1847 in Ray County, Missouri. They had ten children. George and Mary Jane were married by Reverend Henry W. Lile, Sr., Minister of the Gospel. Reverend Henry W. Lile, Sr. was George Washington Williams' grandfather.

Mary Jane King Williams died in her home near Orrick five days after her 89th birthday and she died on Armistice Day, the end of World War I.
