William McGIothlin, 91, retired truck driver William "Shorty" McGIothlin, 91, of 2821 Levering Ave., died at 2:55 a.m. Sunday in the Knights of Pythias Home where he lived for the past five months.
He was born at Elston on May 16, 1898, and was a lifelong resident of Lafayette. He married Myrtle Jennie Baker on Dec. 22, 1936, in Monticello. She died Dec. 25. Mr. McGIothlin was a truck driver for Twin City News Agency from 1947 until his retirement in 1964.

Surviving are three sons, William Lee McGIothlin and Lawrence Dean McGIothlin, both of Lafayette, and Larry Eugene McGIothlin of West Lafayette; three daughters, Mildred Jane Mayer, Edna Marie Parker, and lca Marie McKinney, all of Lafayette; a sister, Hazel Pasdach of West Lafayette; and three brothers, Roy McGIothlin and Robert McGIothlin, both of Lafayette, and Walter McGIothlin of West Lafayette.
