Load of Lumber Kills Trucker Grants Pass (AP) - A load of lumber shifted and fell while a truck was being loaded Tuesday afternoon, killing Duayne L. Barnhart, 26 self-employed trucker for the M and Y mill at Selma.
Earl McTimmonds, one of the mill owners, said a hoist load of lumber was being inserted into the middle of the lumber on the truck. Suddenly the lumber started to slide and it crashed down on Barnhart.
He is survived by a widow and three children.
