Mrs. Myrtle Mae Williams Oakley, 89, of 4807 James St., Columbia, died Friday at her home after a long illness.
Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late Cicero Denton and Sarah Mangum Denton. Formerly of Kershaw County, she was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a retired textile worker.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Williams of Lancaster; a sister, Mrs. Hettie Truesdale of Heath Springs; and 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Southside Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. W. Lloyd Hellams. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be the deacons of Southside Baptist Church.
Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is in charge.
