Mrs. Ruth W. Alewine, 63, of 7524 Tyson Road, died Wednesday in Richland Memorial Hospital.
Born in Kershaw County, she was the foster daughter of the late Dan and Sally Moseley of Camden.
A retired nurse from the William S. Hall Institute, she was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Furman I. Alewine; her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Oakley of Columbia; two sons, Tony Alewine of Orangeburg and Wayne Alewine of Columbia; a daughter, Mrs. Jack N. (Margaret) Taylor of West Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Juanita Williams of Lancaster; and eight grandchildren.
Plans will be announced by Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street chapel.

Services for Mrs. Ruth W. Alewine will be 2 p.m. today at Southside Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. W. Lloyd Hellams. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be D.J. "Jake" Jaco, Eddie Player, Hal Burnette, Danny Young, Chuch Beaty and Eddie Taylor.
