Lois I. Shupe, 89, of Dunlap died Sunday, June 27, 1999, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Aug. 13, 1909, in Peoria County to Norman H. and Olive Maria Campbell Kellar, she married Howard W. Shupe on Aug. 8, 1933, in Bloomington. He died Nov. 17, 1977, in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan Finley and Leah Shupe; and one son, Norman.
She began her teaching career at Banner School (a one-room school) in rural Dunlap. She later taught at Charter Oak and Golden Acres schools in rural Peoria County and retired from Dunlap Grade School.
Graveside services will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
