Daughter of Shelby Thomas and Mary Emmilene (Smith) Crittendon. Wife of John G Bills. Pioneer of Northern Texas and Southern Oklahoma area.


Rites for Mrs. Bills

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Crittendon Bills were held Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. Rev. Milo Arbuckle officiating.

Mrs. Bills died at the home of her son, Clyde Bills, north of Davidson, Tuesday after a prolonged illness. She came to Tillman county in 1903 and was a member of the Methodist church. Born in Nashville, Tenn., May 7 1860 she was married to John Bills in Cleburne, Texas, Jan. 29 1879. Her husband preceded her Tin death many years ago. Survivors include these sons and a daughter: Jesse Bills, Burkburnett, Texas; Clyde Bills, Davidson; George Bills, Manitou; Pearl Thompson, Frederick; other survivors are 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Bearers were Van Oxford, T. W. Dunham, Dick Dunham, R. P Dunham and Joe Peters. Honorary bearers: Louis Campbell, Guy • Norwood Sr., Bill Hudson, L. H. Hammonds, Walter Peters and Tom McKinney. Burial was in Davidson cemetery.
