Former Wichitan Succumbs At Davidson

FREDERICK, Okla., Jan. 24.- Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Davidson, Okla.. Sunday afternoon for John G. Bills, former resident of Wichita Falls, who died at 8:15 o'clock Friday morning.
Rev. C. F. Brown, pastor, was in change. Burial was in Davidson cemetery.
Mr. Bills had been in failing health for more than a year and was confined to his bed for several months.
He was born near Nashville, Tenn., Jan. 10, 1857. He moved to Cleburne, Texas, when a young man and was married there in 1880 to Miss Elizabeth Crittendon. The Bills family moved to Wichita Falls in 1885 and resided there until 1903 when they drew a claim in southern Tillman county, near Davidson.
Mr. Bills was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are his widow and these children: Jesse Bills of Wichita Falls, Clyde Bills of Buffalo. Mo., Guy Bills, George Bills and Mrs. Ray Thompson, all living at Davidson. Among survivors are six brothers and sisters, Mrs. J. E. January. Mrs. B. A.. Franks, Mrs. S. T. McKinney and Mrs. C. G. Clark, all of Davidson, Okla.; J. H. Bills of Jacksboro, Texas: G. W. Bills of Mangum, Okla. In addition there are 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
