Andrew Benigo, Tailor, Taken with Cramps
While Bathing at Milford.
Andrew Benigo, twenty-five years old, employed as a tailor at the Anderson Tailor shop, was drowned while bathing in a lake near Milford, Friday afternoon. Benigno had gone to Milford with the intention of spending the afternoon at the camp of his uncle, Mike Indivin who lives at 1446 P Street.
He arrived at 3 o'clock and shortly afterward announced his intention of taking a swim in the lake, located near the camp. It is believed he was taken with cramps after making his initial dive. When he failed to reappear a rescue party was formed and the body was found 45 minutes later in the deepest part of the lake. Resuscitative measures failed.
Benigno had been in the United States about a year, coming here from Italy, where his mother now resides. He made his home with his uncle, Andrew Alesio, 1446 P Street. The body was brought to Lincoln. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
