Anna Marie Altizer Barrett, age 82, of the Steelsburg section of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 in a Bristol, TN hospital.
She was born in Bandy, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Joe L. and Catherine Harrison Alitzer.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a retired teacher from Tazewell County Public Schools. She was a graduate of Richlands High School Class of 1952 and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Adventist University. She was a member of the Richlands Seventh Day Adventist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Leslie M. Barrett, Sr.;
Grandson, Matthew Lee-Garex Jessee;
and sister, Marcella Sweet.

Funeral services for Anna Marie Barrett will be conducted on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home of Richlands, Virginia with the Elder Don Elswick officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
