BRADFORD - Alfred "Jim" Antes Jr., 71, of Bradford died at 9:20 p.m. Monday, March 15, . 1999, at his residence:

Born Nov. 13, 1927, in Clearfield, he was a son of Alfred S. and Wava (Graham) Antes.

Mr. Antes was employed at Case Cutlery as a laborer. He was a member of the Marche Club and I.A.S. Club. Mr. Antes served in the military in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by two daughters, Margaret L. Antes of Bradford and Joan W. Lent of Warren; and three sisters, Barbara A. Ogden, Janet L. Antes and Helen L. Nicholson, all of Clearfield.

Also surviving are grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Charlotte (Stonebraker) Antes on Nov. 24, 1990, and whom he wed on May 7, 1954, in Hyde Park; and a brother.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Home, Bradford, with the Rev. Mike Long officiating. Interment will be at Willow Dale Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
