Hazel Edwards Rash, 70, resident of 212 Willowbrook Road, wife of Frederick "Fred" R. Rash died May 27, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Weaverville NC, June 29, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Reverend John Lester Edwards and Lillie Bell Honeycutt Edwards. Formerly of Spartanburg, Mrs. Rash had made her home in Greenwood since 1977. A faithful member of Victory Baptist Church in Hodges, she lived her life in service to God. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Mrs. Rash will be missed by all those she so selflessly poured her love and affection into. Surviving in addition to her husband of forty-six years of the home are a son, Derrick Rash and wife Allison of Greenwood; daughter, Tanya Mayes of Hoschton GA; seven grandchildren, Zane Mayes, Zared Mayes, Anna Marie Mayes, Brecken Mayes and Reece Mayes, all of Hoschton GA and Katelynn Rash and Cameron Rash, both of Greenwood; sister, Pearl Sprinkle of Ashville NC; and two brothers, Claude Edwards and wife Stella and Eugene Edwards and wife Juanita, all of Weaverville NC. Burial at Ashelawn Gardens, 901 Aiken Road, Asheville NC. Blyth Funeral Home.
