DIGHTON — Mary L. Barnes, 82, former Dighton resident, died Friday at Loveland, Colo., from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Born Mary L. McMillen, Jan. 25,1898, at Inland, Neb., she married Ben Bickers in September 1920, at Garden City. He died in January 1940. She married Elmer B. Barnes March 16, 1945, at Dighton. He died Jan. 1,1961.
Mrs. Barnes had been a resident of Colorado 34 years. She was a member of Mountain View
Presbyterian Church, Loveland, Colo., and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Eva Richards and Mrs. Jessie Turner, both of Loveland; 14 nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 4pm Wednesday at the First Christian Church, Dighton, the Rev. William Carson officiating. Burial will be at Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 9am-noon Wednesday at Niles-Zenor Funeral Home, Dighton. From Garden City Telegram 15 December 1980.
