Sarah Trask (b. 1835 at Bird Island Cove) was the fourth child and second daughter of Samuel and Ann (Hill) Trask. She married Richard Cole in 1853 at Bird Island Cove. They had 9 children: Abner (b. 1853), Isaiah (b. 1858), Vashti (b. 1861), Catherine (b. 1864), Gideon (b. 1866), Richard Thomas (b. 1869), Edward James (b. 1872), Sarah (b. 1874) and Nimshi (b. 1878). Richard Cole was a lay leader in the Methodist Church. He died at Bird Island Cove in 1889. His widow Sarah died there in 1908. They are both buried in the Old Methodist Graveyard at Elliston. Their grave marker reads: "Richard Cole, 1831-1889, His wife Sarah Trask, 1835-1908, God is Love"
