Ann Marie Smedley Nelson, age 82, of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away peacefully Friday, April 21, 2006 in Salt Lake City, UT. Ann Marie was born September 22, 1923 in Montpelier, ID to Alfred T. and Grace Perkins Smedley.
She married Ernest R. Nelson Aug. 16, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. From there they embarked on a relationship filled with love and respect. She will be dearly missed by family and many friends.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Ralph Nelson, Salt Lake City, Utah; sons, Gregory R. Nelson (Ellen), Barry W. Nelson (Mary Lou); two grandchildren, Wade Eron Nelson (Mandy), and Douglas James Nelson.
Preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Grace Smedley; and brother, Ralph Smedley.
Funeral services for Ann Marie will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2006, 1 p.m. at the Grandview 1st Ward, 2930 South 2000 East, Salt Lake City, UT where friends may call Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 11:45 a.m.- 12:45 p.m. prior to the services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road.
