CLYDE – Frankie Nell Hightower Davis, 85, of Clyde died Sunday, May 24, 2015 in an Abilene hospital.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Terrell officiating. Burial will be in the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis was born November 18, 1929 in St. Augustine, Texas to James Andrew and Vera (Wagstaff) Hightower and graduated from St. Augustine High School.

She moved to Clyde from Abilene in 1956. Mrs. Davis volunteered for Clyde Meals on Wheels after retiring from Dairy Queen. She worked and played at the Clyde Senior Adult Activity Center and was a member of the Cherry Heights Baptist Church.

Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons, Andy Davis and Billy Davis both of Clyde; special family friends, Carla Fleming and Duane T. Clark both of Clyde; two sisters, Katie Willey of Nederland and Lola Runnels of Nacogdoches and one grandson, Spencer Dean Davis of Northville, New York.

She was preceded in death by one daughter in 1991, JoAnn Davis Wright; two brothers, Vernon and Jackie Hightower and one sister, Norene Evans.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clyde Meals on Wheels.
