Mrs. Estelle Fitzgerald Nicholson, age 88, native of Pollard, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 23, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, M. L. " Nick" Nicholson, parents, Emmett and Bessie Mae P. Fitzgerald, one brother and four sisters. Mrs. Nicholson retired after 42 years of service with the U. S. Civil Service as an administrative assistant. Twenty-four of those years were served at Brookly Field. She was a member of Eastern Star and of Christ United Methodist Church. She will be remembered by her family as a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Nicholson is survived by her children, Kris Lamar Nicholson (Maria), Carol Lorraine Nicholson Foster and Sandra Estelle Nicholson Carlisle (Dudley). She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Thomas Burns Foster, Jr. and Donya Elizabeth Foster and special caregivers, great-nephew, Tom Parker, and Pat McNeal, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Radney Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Chapel services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
