High Point—Mrs. Annie Cleo Dail Smith, 90, Died Tuesday May 19 2015 at Westchester Manor High Point. She was born September 26, 1924 in Greene County NC to the late George Washington and Sadie Walston Dail. She attended Forest Hills Baptist Church in Wilson, NC and was employed with Sears in retail and in church administration.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James J. Smith; six siblings George, Earl, Ralph, Budd, and Ruby, and Lena Rivers.
She is survived by three sons and their wives; Danny Lee James (Charlene) of Lacey Springs AL, Kenneth Robert “Bob” James (Caron), of High Point, and Jeffery Scott James (Marcia) of Jamestown; Four brothers Henry Dail of Wilson, Robert Dail of Kinston, Jerry Dail of Snow Hill, Donahue Dail of Newport News, VA; one Sister Mary Taylor, of Newport News VA; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, May 23 at First Baptist Church of Jamestown with Rev. Michael Bowers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
