Mrs. James A. Alley Resident of Butler County Since 1898
Services were held Thursday at Douglass for Mrs. Rebecca Allifair Alley of Douglass whose death occurred there January 11. The Rev. E. L. Stumbo officiated and interment was in Dunlap Cemetery near Rose Hill.
Mrs. Alley who was born November 29, 1862 at Pikesville, Kentucky, had lived in the Douglass and Rose Hill communities since 1898. She was married in 1880 to James Alexander Alley who died in 1912. She was a member of the Douglass Church of Christ.
Surviving are three daughters and four sons, Mrs. Ethel Paul of Wichita; Mrs. Minnie Smith, Miss Lydia Alley and Claude and John Alley of Douglass; Dr. J. M. Alley, Augusta, and W. A. Alley of Derby.
