He was a self-employed wholesale distributor, Army veteran and had membership in the Knights of Columbus, St. Charles Jaycees and St. Peters Catholic Church. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles. The funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peters Catholic Church, 324 South Third Street in St. Charles. Burial will be at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, 3950 West Clay Street. Among survivors are three sons, Burton J. Bollinger Jr. and Robert A. Bollinger, both of St. Charles, and Bruce A. Bollinger of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Bonnie A. Roberts of St. Charles; a sister, Ruth Lueders of Webster Groves; and a brother, Jack Bollinger of Connecticut.
