Ira was the tenth child of John Nelson and Nancy R. (Sales) Bolles. Born in Indian Territory Pickens Co. Oklahoma now McMillan, Marshall Co. Oklahoma. He worked in the oil field until retiring in 1965. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He married at Foster, OK Nov. 19, 1921 Beulah Mae Dixon. Children born to this union were: 1) Oleta, 8/20/1922. 2) Ortez 7/16/1925. 3) Olene 1/18, 1929 and 4) Betty Flo 11/29, 1932.
