Funeral services will be held Monday, 2:00 PM at Moravian Falls Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Calloway and Rev. Joe Sturgill officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service at the Church. Burial will be in Moravian Falls Community Cemetery.
Mrs. Brookshire and her husband of 61 years, were apple growers for fifty years. She was a member of Moravian Falls Baptist Church where she was active in Sunday School and missions as long as her health allowed.
In addition to her parents and husband Russell, she was preceded in death by a sister; Alma Parsons, and six brothers; Vaughn, Everette, Linney, Kenneth, Clinton and Clyde Broyhill.
She is survived by two daughters; Linda Brookshire, Joyce Earley and husband Blaine of Waynesville, three grandsons; Scott Brookshire, David Earley and wife Laura, Ben Earley and wife Amanda; four great-grandchildren; Drew, Olivia, Mason and Madeleine Earley, two sisters; Pauline Johnson and Alda McNeil and husband Hoyle.
