Suggested edit: "Doc" was a dentist. He and Aunt Olga came to stay with us (my mom was Olga's niece Anna Mae McMahon McCulloch. Olga was my great aunt) around 1964 when their son Ronald was getting married in my hometown Huntsville Alabama. Ronald was stationed at Redstone Arsenal at the time. Doc went to the local ABC store to buy some whisky, and got into a shouting match with the cashier because he was mistakenly standing in the"Colored" line instead of the "Whites only" line. This was apparently the first time he had been in the deep south and couldn't believe they really had such ridiculous things as separate lines at stores. Tom McCulloch
