Presumed to be buried here but no marker found. Dates from Bible record which said George Wimer of Geo was born October 4 1793 and died 1883 between Christmas and New Year. Son of immigrant George Wimer and wife Elinor.
Not to be confused with his son, George, who fought and died in 1863 at the Battle of Williamsport on July 6th. Military records show that it was his son, because his sons death year matches the same as the George Wimer who died in 1863. Also it is not impossible but very doubtful that this George fought in the Civil War because he would have been almost 70. It is possible, but everything seems to solve itself by explaining it with his son also named George
