Rhonda Kay Sawyer, 45, of Hamburg died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at her residence in Hamburg. A native of East St. Louis, Illinois, and a resident of Hamburg for the past 25 years, she was a waitress at the Catfish Inn and a member of the Eden Baptist Church. She enjoyed water skiing and spending time with her granddaughter.
She is survived by two sons, Brad Sawyer and wife Susanne and Charley Sawyer; a daughter, Cheyenne Sawyer; her mother, Wanda Hicks Barker, all of Hamburg; two brothers, Gary Barker of Collinsville, IL, and Steve Barker of St. Louis, MO; a sister, Kathy Norrell of Hamburg and a granddaughter, Michaela Sawyer of Hamburg.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charley Barker; a brother, Charley Glenn Barker; and a sister, Cloressa Hartley.
Funeral services were planned for 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg with Revs. Mike Titsworth & David Holland officiating. Burial was to follow at the Eden Cemetery. Pallbearers were to be Gary, Shawn, Brian & Chris Barker, Kevin
