Jacob and Anna Marie immigrated to the United States in 1913. They arrived in Philadelphia on the ship named "Dominion," and from there the family traveled via the railroad to North Dakota where Jacob's brother, Johann Kraft was farming.
They had 17 children. Four children were born in Russia: #1 Heinrich born 4 Apr 1909, and #2 Johann born 15 Jun 1910, died as babies and two sons, Herman and Edward, came with them on the ship to the U.S. a girl, #5 Pauline, died as a baby and fourteen children grew up to be adults.
