William Felton Eason (known as "Felton") was born 7 Jun1901 in Undine, Georgia. In 1901, Undine was located in Tattnall County, and was a "happening" place. In its early days, Undine had a "court house", a train depot, and was a pass-through for a busy thoroughfare known as the Sunbury Road. In 1914, the area was annexed into a new county that became known as Evans County, Ga.

Felton was the son of Abraham Darlington Eason II (Abe) and Henrietta Matilda Tippins (Henri). He married Fannie Louvicy DeLoach on 19 Mar 1921, and the happy couple had 12 children who were brought up in Undine on the family farm. Most of the children, particularly the older children, referred to their parents as "Felton" and "Fannie". The younger children did call them 'Mama' and 'Daddy'. The home was filled with love, laughter, fun, fellowship, and adventure. Each of the Eason children has tales to tell about events and activities from their youth.

Felton died unexpectedly on 27 Feb 1964. Although he was quite slender, he suffered a heart attack while walking home. Felton often walked wherever he went, so it was not unusual for him to be gone from home for a while. His death was understandably a shock to his family.

Felton and Fannie were parents to Kenneth Delwood, Harry Abraham, Martha, William Felton Jr., Henry Glenn, Joe Huey, David Edward, Jane Frances, Hilda Earle, Robert Mark, Marion Elizabeth, and Michael Anthony Eason.
