Surviving are three children: David C. Gority (Sandra) of Carlisle, Susan Krater (Ken) of Altoona, and Stephen Gority (Darlene) of Altoona; six grandchildren—Bradley and Jason Krater, Erin and Anne Gority, and Justin and Blake Gority; seven great-grandchildren: Jared, Adrienne, Aspen, Ian, Cannon, Elizabeth, and Landon; one brother Donald Kelly. She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Kelley and her sister Phyllis Freas.
Janet was a graduate of Altoona High School, and the Altoona School of Commerce. She worked at Royal Crown Cola as a bookkeeper as well as other various companies over the years. She was a lifetime member of First Church of God in Altoona, where she was active teaching Sunday school and also had served on the Auxiliary Committee at the Church of God Home in Carlisle.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where funeral service will be held at 4 PM, with Pastor Jerry Sneath, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Altoona Bible Institute 711 3rd street Altoona PA, 16602.
